Women Empowerment: -
SMK strongly
believes that women should have equal socio-economic, cultural and political
opportunities as men.
At the women empowerment camps, a successful attempt
was made to achieve an enrollment ratio of 100 for women genders. The movement
is also being implemented in backward areas.
In this project, Our mission is to work towards gender equity in which women have enhanced socio-cultural, economic and political opportunities, enabling them to take crucial decisions which affect them and their families

The following methodologies and approaches will be used
in order to achieve the objectives of the Gender Equity sector:

Continuation of the process to provide market
oriented skill training to women and adolescent girls.
·
Commitment to help mothers of children, who are
attending educational classes, and involve them in saving, thrift and credit,
skill training and income generation activities.
·
Development of leadership within the communities
and linking them with government and non-government facilities.
·
Generation of awareness among common people
through involving women from project locations and using IEC materials.
In this
continuation the Women Empowerment camp provides women skill training of
tailoring & handicrafts to increase their income and self-reliance.
Concurrently education awareness also provided to improve in the status of
these village women. The camp has attracted the attention of the local populace
and achieved quick acceptability with the community. The camp provides vocational
training to socio-economic backward women at village level, so that they can
become economically independent. From inception of program, we provided skill
training in different skill to hundreds of women, after the training we
provides free of cost sewing machines with awarding certificates, to start
their own work at community level and can add her income in their family.
