Vocational Trainnings and Rehabilitations

Vocational Training & Rehabilitation Activities:-

SMK was formally established Ramgarh reintegration centre (RRC) on  6^th Feb 1997. The unit is rehabilitating downtrodden people from different part of India through employment based training program to Person living with disability, leprosy cured person, their dependents, women & below poverty line person in many job oriented trades i.e.

• Computer education,
• Tailoring & Stitching
• Women skill camps at village level
• Electronics items & motor winding repairing,
• Handicraft unit including making perfumes, incense sticks and candle making, glass painting other
• Dairy & agro based training (Farmer’s Resource Centre)
• Spices and floor mill,
• Two Wheeler Repairing,
• Corrugated paper box manufacturing unit, etc

On above training trades are imparted to trainees for six month to one year, during their training, they also get stipend along with free of cost training/ food/lodging etc and Besides this they are also being paid stipend (pocket expense) @ Rs. 300/- per month. After completion of training we relieve them and at the time of their they relieving sewing machine is provided to all the trainees of tailoring trade. To other trainees full help is provided for establishing their own setup and also help them to provide jobs in the private capacity.also provides  

After a counselling session with beginner trainees, we explore their skill/interest, and admit according to same in training trade, after completing of training, they are also provided sewing machines/ some course items / financial assistance to assist them in setting up their own small business or helps in finding job to become self independent, dignity with happily life, So far large number of people has started their own business and earning the useful money for them & family,

From beginning to now about 2000 person has completed socio-economic training with some benefits of surgeries, medical assessment, physical therapy, provision of disabilities certificates, identity card, bus/rail concession pass, pension plans, aids & appliances, formation of SHGs, providing scholarship, career counselling, community based rehabilitation, self employment activities, etc supports from GO/NGO/INGO and other agencies, We also keep a balance between a right based approach and service delivery approach, and time to time we do advocacy and lobbying with ( Person with Disability) PwDs society for their right

Ramgarh reintegration centre (RRC) is a big unit of Sarthak Manav Kushtashram (SMK) has been rehabilitating downtrodden people preferably Person living with disability, leprosy, women and their dependent members according to the interest of candidates, with providing much vocational training as under

Computer Education: - we are providing qualitative theoretical & practical computer training without any discrimination of caste, creed, section & religion, the trainees comes from all part of India, The centre concentrates to train on the concept of MS office and other useful software.

Tailoring & Stitching: - The stitching & tailoring unit aim is to build the capacity of Person living with Disability (PLDs) in order to improve their socio- economic status, an experience Instructor is providing practical and theoretical work on all type of stitching and tailoring work through proper attention, the tailoring machine is also provided to them after completion of training, during the training course the students learn about sewing machine’s parts, tools, equipments, sewing machine fault and rectification, Functioning about interlocking machine, Garments of ladies/gents/children, Care while Electric pressing on different types of clothes.

Women Skill camp at Village level: - women empowerment camp of tailoring (age group of 16-45 year) to help them to raise socio-economic status, the camp offers courses of tailoring, embroidery, perfumes, 

Two-wheeler repairing center:- The unit provides wide knowledge about all parts of two-wheeler and it’s repairing, after the completion of     successful training they are supported to find job and given financial assistance to embark of self-employment, Our Trainee learns practical on different types of two wheeler bikes & covers like Introduction of tools, equipments, wheeler Parts, Two wheeler Servicing, Head cylinder work & clutch work Wiring, shocker, chain set & engine work, etc

Electronics:- The new training on Electronic repairing items, is a demanding trade in this modern era, because in small or big cities every house a number of electronics items, it is required maintenance frequently, so a trained person can earn a handsome amount or getting a job in concerned field, the unit providing theoretical work on electronics repairing items with focusing to build the capacity of Person With Disability (PWDs) or BPL, after completion of this course mostly students could be start repairing shop /finding job in related factories/shops at community & institution level, the students are learning about Basic electronics, tools, equipments, maintenance, AC DC Transistor, multi meter, circuits layout, conductor, diode, condenser, transformer, coils, cathode rays tube knowledge Assembling and  fault finding about B/W TV Colour TV, Radio, FM, Deck Tape recorder CD player DVD player Amplifier DTH Dish TV Speakers etc, electrical wire fitting.

Motor winding:-  Students working on, installation, maintain and repair electrical machines disassemble, rewind and reconnect coils within a variety of electrical machines including electrical motors, and small transformers, operate, maintain, modify and repair associated control equipment and tools such as coil winders, hoists, lathes, drilling machines and welding and heating equipment replace electrical motor bearings and undertake other associated mechanical activities   

Corrugated Box Manufacturing unit:- Corrugated box manufacturing unit provides corrugated paper boxes, training on different type of machine .i. e. corrugated, slotting, rotary to make the boxes according to market, need after completing of their training they may get job in paper factories or can start their own work

Handicraft unit.:- In handicraft unit we provides training in Incense sticks, candle & perfume making, cow dung perfumed sticks, glass painting as per market scenario, after completion of this training the trainees starts their own business with low investment.

Grinding Spices and Floor Mill unit.:- this unit is helping to teach trainees to start their own shop or selling spices to village or town with good earning because Spices are an integral part of Indian food, the trainees learn the function of operating grinding mill and kind /quality of different types of spices/cereal.

Career Counseling & Support Services:-Disabled youth are given counseling & parent counseling with a view to enabling them to provide effective support and guidance in the upbringing & self-sustaining, They are also advised to choose right career & placement and provide guidance & assistance to needy disabled clients for getting the benefit of different governmental and non-governmental scheme .i. e.  Financial assistance, scholarships, pensions etc. The organization also helps in providing them educational, Aids and Appliances like Wheel Chair, Crutches, Tri-cycle, Learning Aids, medical certificates, concession pass, we also help to trainees in their polio surgeries with help of other GO/NGO, after this operation the trainees brought back to their normal life.

Information dissemination through campaign

Door to door visit, pamphlets pasting on village wall & its distributions are an effective medium of information and help to communicate messages to many people. In response RRC initiated for awareness campaign at near by villages by students/RRC staff/trainees,  The awareness campaign is going with covering specially public places like Bus stands, Tea stalls, Anganwadi Centre, General Stores, Health Centers, etc, where more and more  people gathered, regarding the way to take care the disabled/women/BPL persons, The campaign group has explained the all activities of RRC to home to home, Which was seen very effective practice as we observed that people were taking interest in those pasting posters,
