Community Based Rehabilitation project
SMK’s activities encompass help to all differently abled viz. physical challenged, hearing & visually impaired, cerebral palsy, mentally retarded,  leprosy affected people and their families gain access to health, education, livelihood, social , empowerment, acting as a catalyst by creating and assisting them in working with other organizations to bring hope and purpose in their lives.
Hence, one of SMK’s key goals is also to raise awareness levels among all sections of society, with a view to ending social and economic discrimination against leprosy affected people and disability everywhere.
SMK collected first hand information in Jawahar Nagar to Idgah area on Delhi road, leprosy colonies, villages of Jamwaramgarh tehsil.
The Operational project area to be covered in 50 villages of Jamwaramgarh, Urban slums from Jawahar Nagar to Delhi road in Jaipur on both road side with covering of total general population around 1,55,000
Including Target of 3000 (People Living with Disability) PLDs, leprosy affected person  their dependents, with special as a deal with lot of social stigma. The proposed project will be first time initiative at the district for working with persons with disabilities including leprosy. It tends to promote rehabilitative services in Jaipur, aims to raise health awareness as one of the primary health care. The main approach of this project is to prevent further disability and generate awareness about the disabled persons. This work will be carried through Panchayat representatives, health functionaries, school and volunteers.

The project would coordinate with stakeholders to bring them to the villages/beneficiaries to provide services relating to rehabilitation. 

To ensure people's participation and sustainability to the project all the villages will have slum/village people committee, who will regularly involvement in project activities and give timely inputs for its betterment.

Gandhi Kusthashram Jodhpur having a dispensary. These inmates include leprosy affected people and their family members. This centre has a double story building, almost having separate quarters for each family. Complete medical and educational services are provided here to the inmates by SMK.

MEDICAL SUPPORT PROGRAME 
A good network of well-equipped dispensaries and clinical laboratories are being run by SMK at Galta, Jhotwara, Ajmer, Ramgarh and Jodhpur. These dispensaries have professionally sound and competent doctors and paramedical staff to cater to their needs. These medical units monitor the patients regularly for any re-occurrence of the symptoms of leprosy disease and educate them in maintaining the required hygienic conditions. Besides this scheduled job, these dispensaries offer free general medical facilities including free medicines to the village surrounding them.

SMK's Ajmer centre is mainly providing medical services to the leprosy patients and their families. These services include the treatment and care of both leprosy patients and leprosy cured patients. Main operational areas of SMK in Ajmer are Dargah and outside Dargah areas. SMK's Ajmer office is situated in Civil Lines area. Two part time trained doctors here provide their services to the beneficiaries living mainly in and around operational areas. About 90 children of leprosy patients and their communities are being provided complete educational support also
