About SMK Jaipur

            SARTHAK MANAV KUSHTHASHRAM (SMK Jaipur) is in the service of the detached and persons affected by leprosy and disability for last thirty years. It is an organisation formed by the victims of leprosy themselves about 3 decades back, with a view to prepare them to earn their livelihood, become self-supported, and lead a respectful life in the society. The organisation is presently functioning as a model centre for treatment and rehabilitation of persons affected by leprosy and disability & having many other humanitarian projects.

             The management of the organisation is run by the persons affected by leprosy through an elected body. The office-bearers are from the inmates of the Asylum (i.e., people affected by leprosy), and they take active part in the day-to-day management work.  They also established relationship with other welfare institutions in the country.

Here,we make efforts in social, educational, medical, economic rehabilitation for leprosy affected persons, their families and other downtrodden people. who are neglected by the community. We also raise awareness level campaigns among all sections of the society, with a view to eradicate all stigma against leprosy affected people without discrimination by race, caste, gender, region and religion.
